I have been with the practice for 18 years as an orthodontic assistant, which speaks volumes for the kind of environment we work in. Dr Neville Bass has been extremely supportive and sensitive to my needs as a full-time working mum over the years, which has always made me feel at home. Since his son Dr Anton Bass joined the team, I have welcomed his new ideas, taking the practice in to the future.
I joined Bass Orthodontics in 2008 prior to the complete refurbishment of the practice. It is now so exciting working in this new and modern environment. With our fully equipped orthodontic laboratory I enjoy the challenges of constructing different kinds of orthodontic appliances under the expert guidance of both Dr. Neville Bass and Dr. Anton Bass.
I’ve been working at Bass Orthodontics since February 2010 and what an exciting 18 months it has been! The practice is now completely refurbished and it is a delight to work in a state of the art orthodontic practice. I completed my own orthodontic treatment in September, and the experience has helped my understanding of patients concerns and needs. I am now better able to reassure patients and answer any questions they may have. After gaining my qualification in the National Certificate in Dental Nursing followed by Dental Radiography, I am currently waiting for the results of my Orthodontic Nursing exam, which will hopefully encourage me to become an orthodontic therapist and continue my development at Bass Orthodontics.
Bass Orthodontics welcomed me to their team almost one year ago when I moved over from Australia and quickly became the equivalent of my family in the UK! I have never before worked in an environment where new ideas are not only welcomed and encouraged but also implemented, making me feel like I really am making a difference in the workplace. My previous experience has been solely in general dentistry so learning Orthodontics has been an exciting challenge. Dentists and patients alike are always complimenting Dr Bass’ work making it a really enjoyable practice to work in.
