The People of London ask, What are Clear Braces?
Clear braces have been invented to allow you to create your perfect smile by straightening crooked or misaligned teeth - all done in an invisible way.
What advantage do Clear Braces have?
Having clear braces has many advantages over conventional orthodontics, such as:
- They are clear, this means that other people will not be able to see them and know that you are having your teeth straightened
- People of all ages can wear them, from Teens to Nineties
- Unlike fixed braces they can be removed for eating and cleaning. This makes them for comfortable to wear and convenient for the user.
- They can be used to treat a variety of problems that require straighter teeth
What is involved in treatment with clear braces?
Generally speaking clear brace treatment is carried out over a number of stages. As with any procedure the first thing to do is to ensure that you are suitable for treatment with clear braces, so your first appointment will carry out this assessment.
The next phase of treatment is to do some diagnostic work. This often involves photographs, xrays and perhaps plaster replicas of your teeth, we do this so that we can accurately plan your treatment.
Next we will go ahead and make your clear braces, once done we will arrange your next appointment with us. You will then come back to the practice, we will show you how to use your braces and tell you how often you will need to switch them over to a new one. We'll provide you with the first set of aligners, and after a few weeks you'll come back to the practice for a review of progress and we will arrange for the the next set.
Each set of aligners are custom made for you and each move the teeth a small amount towards the final goal.
